Outstraight was established in 2015 by our founder Lewis Kenny. 

Outstraight as a collective began its journey primarily as an arts group - producing some of the most dynamic spoken word content at the time, while also curating events, exploring live art initiatives and hosting panel discussions discussing numerous topics that remain significant considerations for young adults & artists in Ireland today. 

(2015 - 2020 included numerous appearances and placements with RTE, The Irish Times, and various festival appearances including Latitude, Electric Picnic etc.)

Since 2020, Outstraight has operated as a record label, with the addition of our director, Aaron Connery.

Aaron relocated to Ireland permanently from Berlin, and in the early months of 2020 set out to pivot Outstraight from an arts collective, to a fully fledged record label.

 

Today, Outstraight Records is an 8 artist strong roster, encompassing hip-hop, electronic music and a media production team to support our wider endeavours. From the labels inception - Outstraight Records have booked more than 75 acts to perform at their shows...including international acts such as Fliptrix, Verb T, The Four Owls & Jehst amongst a predominantly Irish lineup of artists. In addition to this, Outstraight have continued longstanding event collaborations & artist residencies with Bodytonic, The Sugar Club & festival appearances at All Together Now & Electric Picnic.
